About Us

Palm Beach Pet Rescue is an all volunteer, not for profit, animal rescue group, dedicated to saving and improving the lives of pets and their new owners.

Abandoned, abused, and unwanted dogs are taken from both shelters and the public.

All needed veterinary care is given, including testing, inoculations, micro chipping, and spay /neuter. Animals will also receive specialty care when indicated, such as orthopedic, skin, eye, or medical.

Potential adopters are carefully screened to put the right dog in the right situation. New owners are given up to date information on pet care.

The internet plays an important role in introducing our dogs to potential adopters.

WHY SMALL DOGS?

All dogs deserve loving, safe, forever homes. However, after rescuing for many years, we are impressed with how many people have lifestyles that are best suited to smaller dogs. Work schedules make extended exercise needed by large dogs difficult. Many people live in apartments without yards, or are older and find it easier to care for smaller dogs.

WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT PALM BEACH PET RESCUE?

Our rescued dogs are fostered in homes, not boarded. We know their characteristics, and we have time to work with their behavior.

We take quality photographs of our rescued dogs and of other animals needing homes. These are then posted on three different websites:

  1. PalmBeachPetRescue.org
  2. Adoptapet.com
  3. Petfinder.com
